Quote Kippaxer="Kippaxer"Yes he's crap but then Larder, Hanley, Waite, Nobby and Smith have hardly been roaring success stories, have they?
'"
define success???
larder got us to a world cup final
hanley was player coach was'nt he? hardly the recipe for success but a 2-1 series loss to the aussies was par for the course
waite got us from nowhere after the 2000 world cup to with in 5mins of a 3-0 series win against the aussies in 2003..the closest series in history
nobby got us to a tri nations fina, off the back of waites work,l and a win in sydney in 2006
smith got us a 3-0 series win against the kiwis and a 4nations final
all of them near enough hit their targets...we have'nt been favourites to beat australia when it mattered for nigh on 50 years...so losing to them in a final or series should'nt be classed as failure.....losing to the kiwis...at home should be though...to my knowledge the kiwis have never beaten us at home in a series?? if they have it's only once or twice?? since 1907
