| I've just watched the final of today's edition of the BBC's "Pointless" quiz programme.
The question in the final had the heading RUGBY LEGENDS, and the three questions all had sub-headings relating to Rugby Union. No mention whatsoever of Rugby League even though the heading hinted that it could.
I'd complain to the BBC but Aunty Beeb would probably replay to the effect that RL is a minority sport. I would argue back that so is tennis yet there are questions regarding this other boring sport in just about every edition of Pointless.
Another example of the BBC treating us as second class citizens.

Do you know, I said the same to the wife. Having said that, if it was on Rugby League they wouldn't have won the £1250.

I would agree Pop, but the point I was making was that RL IS a minority sport but probably attracts more spectators on a week by week basis than tennis yet, on this particular quiz show the amount of questions about tennis is out of all proprtion. It's probably a class thing.

| I'm sure they'd make us cringe by saying Carstleford.

| So one set of question on one episode of one quiz show has got you upset?
If it makes you feel any better, there have been several RL questions on Only Connect (another BBC quiz show)

| R U some how's grabbed the rugby tag. Not all that long ago the BBC and sky used to refer to both codes league and union. Now it's Rugby and rugby league. I'm sure it ain't happened by accident and that the unions marketing department are over the moon with the result.
I'm not sure about the yawning tag either. Long gone are the days when the ball would come out of the scrum only to be punted down field.
Unions in my views become a much better game and in all honesty I don't know have a problem watching it.
I prefer club rugby to the international game but even internationals are providing an improved product.

Yes, I too think union has improved greatly over the years, mainly I think because they saw how much faster league was (and still is) and found ways to speed up their game.
Gone are the days of the kick and clap.
My preference is, and always will be league but I agree union is very watchable nowadays.

Tennis is 1000 times more popular than RL, and I love RL!

You are absolutely right but, in fairness, with Andy Murray as world #1, "everyone" now has an interest in the sport.
Plus, the BBC show Wimbledon every day for 2 weeks of the year and this gives massive exposure to the sport, plus
almost 500,000 (actual 494,000) people attended the Wimbledon fortnight and 13.3 million people watched the final alone.
These are gob smacking figures and the reason that tennis receives more media attention than RL

| There was a question on the Chase over Christmas, which Rugby League team plays at the Jungle, the three options were Wakefield, Leeds or Cas, the chaser knew it.
