Losing the game off the back of a header doesn't feel right. Don't understand that rule at all.
Thought Wigan were OK in the conditions. A few daft decisions in good ball but defensively we were decent. Losing Field obviously has a big impact - French just doesn't have the same level of fitness in that position.
Don't mind us facing a bit of adversity actually. Puts a bit more significance on each game.

It's a very good point and I think you're right. Annoying to lose any game but I've always felt this side needs some adversity to bounce back from, to find it's best.
I thought we were ok tonight in the main. Leeds love this fixture and played with an intensity I've not seen much of this season. We're unfortunate with the header and Peet needs to start having some words with the refs bosses, to find out what we're doing so differently to other teams. We lost 80% of the penalty counts last year and it's just carried on. We're the first dominant force in Superleague history to consistently be on the wrong end of penalty counts (before we even move on to 6 against).
You’ve had Alex Ferguson in to motivate the team before, why don’t you get him back to have a word with the ref’s bosses. Better still, you could buy him a shed load of chewing gum and have him stood on the touch line every week going purple in the face. My guess why you’re penalised so much would be slowing down the play the ball, offside etc. You don’t seem a particularly dirty team at the moment, just lots of regular low level infringements.
Maybe read the 'Discipline' thread and comment there. You'll see that we actually don't get penalized more than other teams. We lose the penalty counts because other teams get penalized less when playing us than when they play any other team in the league. Which means they're either all changing the way they play (highly unlikely, I think you'll agree) or something irregular is going on. We lose penalty counts even when comprehensively beating teams. I believe Huddersfield didn't have a single penalty awarded against them recently even though we thrashed them and were on the front foot. Highly unusual, no?
It would have looked pretty suspect if a Wigan fan reffing his hometown team had caned Huddersfield on the penalties. Maybe Liam Moore was just happy his team was winning easily and decided to fly under the radar ?
Seriously? That's your answer? What about the games we've lost or have had different refs but the disparity has been the same?
All these people moaning about the ref being born in Wigan need to get off their s and become refs if it hurts them that much. Either that or stop bleating about it.
Go back to social media with the rest of the pathetic point scoring idiots.
Chill out fella, it’s just a bit of cross border banter. If you hadn’t noticed, we finished fighting about 600 years ago. Enjoy your day and keep an eye on those refs.
Leeds are an interesting case actually. They've conceded 17 penalties this season, compared to our 16, so we're the two most disciplined teams according to that. It then makes you wonder does what you give away correlate to what you get given (as in games involving those teams are generally clean on both sides) but alas no!! Leeds have been given 31 penalties to our 9.
I think I know the reason why Leeds get so many in comparison but don't tell the South Stand.
