It's been mentioned on here a few times previously about getting a new flag organised for this season and I think the majority agreed that it would be great to get some recognition of Tommy Sale's work for the club following his retirement this year.

The flag is likely to be in a similar design to the 'Our Town Our Team Our Dream' flag and I think the phrase "Arise Sir Tommy..." would be particularly fitting but more than open to ideas from people if they have any other slogan suggestions.

With the help of Matt Sale and the rest of the Sale clan, the following photographs have been selected as the shortlist to be used on the flag. Please use the poll above to select your preferred option.

I've personally gone for number three as that's the Tommy that I recognise (if that makes sense) and I just love the post in that photo.

I think Picture 1 would be the easiest to use in terms of contrast and would look the best. However Picture 3 just sums it all up. Tommy in front of the stand named after him with the fans behind him. Perfect.

One clear leader at the minute! Will ask our designer to have a go and see if he can incorporate the stand somehow as a bit of a dummy run. Will get on to the subject of collecting cash once we have a confirmed design and quote.
