| I'm a fan of 14 teams to get rid of the Loop fixtures, however there are big questions on player numbers and central funding that need serious consideration.
For the past couple of years we have had clubs who are whipping boys, London & Cas last year, Salford this year. Adding another two clubs won't help that picture and will spread the quality more thinly - especially with another two clubs coming in to the NRL over the next few years.
In terms of central funding the cake can't be cut a further two ways, there isn't enough to go round as it is, so either we are confident the move to 14 will increase broadcast income or the two new clubs would do it for free, French clubs told to find their own TV contract?
As for who should come up, Bradford have their merits in that there is a latent support base there for sure, but stadium quality and the fact the main person pushing for this being Nigel Wood - who until very recently was a Bradford shareholder doesn't sit right with me. I would be bringing up Toulouse and London on the assumption they have the financial backing now to spend salary cap.

| Talking of NRL was 82,000 at the game this morning and it sounded like something from a play station game. The only thing we do better than the NRL is crowd noise.

| That post says everything about why this sport can’t move forward. Clubs with the power of veto is exactly why they don’t want the NRL involved.
Then there is the reason it likely won’t be 14 teams next season because as it stands they have no genuine reason to not allow Toulouse in and even if they went with top 2 then right now burger boys Bradford don’t get in. So it’s almost certain to be 12 and that means loop fixtures stay and that’s just awful.
Wish we could get transparency on what clubs are voting for and which clubs. Bound to be a big split between those that have and those that don’t.

| That’s the death of the sport announced, they couldn’t get rid of him fast enough even given a big payout and now they vote him back in. Obviously they know things we don’t but I find this very baffling, guess it won’t be long before Bradford announced back in in the league. I have to refrain from calling it Super as it’s not any more. Anyone want to chip in for a wreath.
