Quote Geordie="Geordie"Its about atmosphere, when all 3 sides where singing that on Saturday the hairs on my neck stood up. As they did for K Sera Sera and many others.
Its alright people saying we need a new song, pen one and then have the sweatties to stand up in front of 8,10,12,14 thousand people and sing it. If it takes off it's great when it doesnt you look like a prize fool.'"
Well said.
I loved the Wembley songs the other day, Que Sera Sera was outstanding, as it is one we don;t often sing with such conviction, and literally every Wire fan was singing it. Very simple, and very good.
I also really liked 'We shall not be moved'.
Whilst a long anthems can be okay, the simple songs get the fans singing in greatest numbers.
Warry Warry is simple but effective, Oh Warrington - whilst a little foul-mouthed - is excellent and witty, and barmy army is easy enough to remember when you are drunk.
I also love 'Wire til I die' when everyone goes for it.
