Was talking briefly with an RL Journo today, he seemed to think that the NRL are now contacting clubs to see if they want to join NRL Europe. If they can get a few of the big guns on side with this, the rest will have to follow as the game here doesn't have enough serious clubs to make it if say Wigan, Sts and Leeds were to go.
Let's see what happens, but this would fit with Carney's "biggest thing since the birth of SL and the formation of the Northern Union" speech the other week.
If we can create a comp that runs like the NRL, and have player pathways that support that, it's got to be good for the game overall. We need to have the Governing Body running the game not the club chairmen, and the NRL has absolutely pots of cash at the moment so can make this happen.
