Handing Out Central Contracts To The Leagues Best Players
There is talk about how to keep the NRL's biggest stars from leaving the competition and one of the big ideas is to centrally contract players to the League itself.
The number thrown around by most is 30 central contracts. This is money the NRL itself would pay to a player on top of their club contract.
So, which players would get a central contract if they were on offer?
I reckon some web site should put together a list of players. Seen as none of them have, I'll do it until they do.
Now a few things to settle before I start this list....
The idea was to name the 30 players I'd give central contracts to, however in compiling this list I found 30 is just to many at this point in time. So I've listed 20 players, which was more than enough.
These players are not listed in any order and keep in mind, these are the stars I think the game would look to reward, they are not necessarily the 30 best players in the NRL.
I also chose to not list players that have already decided to leave the NRL. I would only consider giving central contracts to players who have committed to an NRL club already.
Anyway, here we go:
1. Benji Marshall
You would not find a kid anywhere in Australia or New Zealand that doesn't try and do a Benji Marshall sidestep during a match. Hell I do the Benji Step when I'm going out to pick up the mail! Marshall is one of the most popular players in the game, especially among kids, and he is an incredibly talent. On top of that he is a very loyal player who has stated he wants to stick with the West Tigers, a club that normally wouldn't get a player of his quality otherwise.
2. Darren Lockyer
Darren Lockyer should stop playing footy when he has nothing more to give. Until that time, the NRL should do everything they can to keep in in Australia. He is the first picked at State and Test level and is the Australian captain. He is an all time great and his presence draws extra fans through the gates.
3. Israel Folau
Such an amazing athlete. Folau is the first pure athlete on this list and there will be many more to come. He is already a superstar and he isn't even 20 yet. Folau is a major drawcard and does things in a game that brings the crowd to its feet.
4. Greg Inglis
By the end of his career Greg Inglis could easily be the most capped player in Australian Rugby League test history. It would surprise no one if he captained Queensland and Australia one day and he could do it as a center, winger or five-eight. Inglis
5. Petero Civoniceva
He is one of the hardest working players in the game. He puts in at club, state and test level, and he has never once complained about playing too much football. He is still at the top of his game and he deserves to be rewarded.
6. Billy Slater
Some people are saying he is the best player in the game. There is no doubt he is one of the most exciting to watch. Slater is a real crowd pleaser and very marketable. He would be one of the few players recognized in Melbourne. You would hope he will play out his career there.
7. Kurt Gidley
Super versatile and a real asset at rep level, he is the big star in Newcastle these days. he is very marketable in the Hunter region and you wouldn't want to lose him from the game.
8. Justin Hodges
An amazing athlete, he is the first Australian center picked. He can do so much on the field however you'd wonder if central contracts would be affected by his judiciary record. I would hope not.
9. Frank Pritchard
An incredibly damaging player, he can bring a crowd to its feet with his footwork of ball playing skills. You have to keep a hold of player like this, they are game breakers. I don't care if he plays for Penrith or another team by the way. I have a feeling he'll be a West Tigers player in the near future.
10. Karmichael Hunt
He is reallying growing mentally as a player this season, he is becoming a leader. He is another amazing athlete who will be one of Queensland main players over the next decade. Ironically I think he'd be more marketable if he chose to play for his native New Zealand, however as a Kangaroo he will be a very important player the game can't afford to lose.
11. Cameron Smith
The next in line for the Australian captaincy you would think. He gets the job when Lockyer is unavailable. Much like Civoniceva, he is one of the hardest working players in the game and should be rewarded for that.
12. Jonathan Thurston
2008 has not been his best season, yet even so he will be the first halfback chosen for Australia. An amazing talent that Andrew Johns has anointed as the player to take over from him. He has won two Dally M Medals to go along with all his other accolades. If he wins the World Cup, he has just about achieved everything possible you can in the game, and he is still only young.
13. Jarryd Hayne
Yet again, another amazing athlete. Hayne has shown he is a standout at rep level. He is a very marketable player, and is still only young. You have to keep hold of players like Hayne.
14. Willie Mason
Another who hasn't had the best year, but boy, does Willie make money for the game or what! His willingness to speak his mind and not shy away from tough questions is worth so much alone. He is a walking headline and gives the game so much free publicity. He is also a great player and an amazing athlete.
15. Krisnan Inu
A very important player for New Zealand, he is another fantastic athlete. He gave up a the chance to be a Mormon Missionary to stick with the game and that was a big commitment. The game should make the same commitment to him.
16. Matthew Bowen
Injury has ruined his 2008 season, but when he is on the field, magic happens. I think he was the best player by a mile in 2007 and the excitement factor he brings to the game is through the roof. He is one of the very best player in the game.
17. Scott Prince
Very important to the Gold Coast market and he is a very marketable player in Queensland in general. He should his worth in Origin this year and has stepped up to play for Australia in the past. He deserves to be recognized as one of the games best.
18. Brett Stewart
If he keeps going he could get that try scoring record of Ken Irvine, something I never thought any player would even get near in my lifetime. He is a try scoring machine and a super exciting player to watch.
19. Robbie Farah
Expect him to be the NSW hooker next season. He is such a good player he might even find himself at halfback. A very marketable player, he is one of the games best and would be a bad loss if he left.
Payments
If you paid each one of these players an extra $200,000 a year from central contracts, the NRL would have to spend $4,000,000 a year on the top 20 players. When you look at the list, its hard to argue that it wouldn't be worth it.
I would have these contracts run for 2 years and reviewed after that. They would ONLY be used as a bonus for a player thats has a contract that runs into the next year. That means a player would not be allowed to say they will only sign with an NRL club if they get a central contract. Its a reward, not a bribe.

Huddersfield Giants Management Has A Small Penis
Let me tell you something from your Glorious King Of All That Is Good. People that make huge boasts and then don't back it up, they have a small penis.
Ohh.....
Anyway, news that Huddersfield was going to make "The biggest announcement in the modern day history of the club" was met with rolled eyes during the week. Everyone knew that this announcement was going to be over blown and stupid.
Darren Lockyer was forced to say he wasn't going to leave Brisbane for Huddersfield and Rubin Wiki's name was also tossed up.
Then, the big announcement came.....
You can get cheap season tickets for Huddersfield next season.
OH MY GOD!
Let me tell you, if cut price tickets are the biggest thing thats happened in your clubs modern day history, then you club is shit.
This was yet another ego driven, back slapping exercise from a Super League club, something that every fan in the game is sick of!
Sculthorpe Gone!
Its a bit hard to put an animal down when its been dead for three years, but thats what St Helens did this week when they told Paul Sculthorpe that he wouldn't be the highest paid Rugby League atendee in the history of the game.
Sculthorpe simply doesn't play the game these days, and even the most hard core St Helens fans that think Keiron Cunningham is svelte are happy to see Sculthorpe on his way.
You have to feel sorry for him though, as he is being sounded out as heading to the open jail in Salford or even that shit hole called Wakefield.
He should find a union team to play for or retire, because playing for either of those clubs is not worth it.
Gidley Sticks Around
In other St Helens news, Matthew Gidley signed a one year extention this week.
Why am I mentioning this?
Well the supposed quote from Matthew Gidley in the press release when some serious self sucking by the St Helens management:
"It is great to know that I will be a part of a forward-thinking club and a great set of teammates for another year," said Gidley. "I look forward to hunting more silverware in this and next season." Seriously, who talks like that?
They don't even try these days. You'd love to be there when the media manager was getting these quotes he has come up with being types up.....
"Ok, we have signed Matthew Gidley. So say he is happy to re-sign with the club. No, wait.....with this, super dooper, amazing club, this club that has a bigger penis than any other club in the world!"
Hmmm....

I Don't Want To See This Champion Side Torn Apart
The best club side I have ever seen was the 1994 Canberra Raiders. These days, I'm wondering if the Melbourne Storm has over taken them.
I love watching the Storm. There is something about a team that isn't just the best football side, but who also have command of the mental side of the game.
Nothing phases them, no opponent scares them, they have an absolute belief in themselves and their team mates and they are never out of the game.
This is a team that will be one of the markers in history, a team that other are matched up against.
With that in mind, I want this Storm side be able to have its complete run at history, I don't want to see the team ripped apart because of salary cap pressures.
The Storm have already been under that pressure.
They lost Matt King in 2007 and this year the club has lost Israel Folau and Michael Crocker among others.
Few opposition clubs will light a candle for them though. Cooper Cronk, Billy Slater, Ryan Hoffman, Dallas Johnston, Cameron Smith, Greg Inglis....the core of the clubs talent is second to none.
Any of these players would be a star signing for another club. Opposition teams will pay big money for any of them, and that pressure is just something Melbourne can not combat.
I think its long over due for the NRL to look at salary cap discounts for long serving players.
Right now Melbourne's core group of talent isn't even at the halfway point in their careers. The place they will stamp their greatness is over the next few years as they head towards their 30's.
All of the players listed above started their careers at the Storm and the Storm should be able to hold onto that talent until such time as both sides want to move on.
I don't think any true Rugby League fan wants to see Melbourne struggling in a few years time with just one or two of their star players still around, thats not good for the game at all.

C'Mon Canberra, Get Out And Support Your Raiders!
It was a must win game for both teams in Canberra today. As I wrote ion my NRL Tips on the Sports Freak website, I felt as though one of either Canberra or Penrith would make the finals, but I didn't think both of them would.
Canberra has been in great form the last few months while Penrith has also shown it can play some pretty good football.
The forcast in Canberra was for sleet or even snow, so I dont have to mention how cold it was.
With all of the reasons to turn up to see the game, it was bitterly dissapointing to see sjust 6,00 turn up to watch the Raiders thrash Penrith 74-12.
The Raiders are playing great, exciting football and have become a threat right across the park. They deserve to be playing in front of much bigger crowds than that.
In all the talk about Sydney clubs needing to re-locate and sponsors being hard to come by, a small market team like the Raiders needs all the support it can get, otherwise it could find itself being the first club moved.
No one wants to see that happen. While Canberra may nopt tick all the boxes of men in suits at the NRL, they play an important role in giving the NRL a foothold southern New South Wales.
Canberra was once an AFL strong hold until the raiders arrived in 1982. The area quickly switched to Rugby League and and never looked back.
The Raiders are in a very similar position to the Newcastle Knights. Both are small market teams, they both have nice stadiums, they have both enjoyed success in the past and both and rebuilding themselves after a lot of great players have retired.
The difference is, Newcastle gets close on 20,000 to every single home game, while the Raiders are happy to break the 10,000 mark.
Already this season the club has had to come out and squash rumours they were looking to relocate to South East Queensland. There is no doubt that if the club moved to Queensland, it would become a force to be reckoned with on and off the field once again.
As I said, no one wants to see that happen. I want to see the Raiders remain in the national capital. The fans down there need to support the club though because no club can survive on crowds like that.

Matthew Elliott Is Still Embarrassing And Everybody Hates Him
You know I think Matthew Elliott is a double agent. There can be no other reason for a coach to be so active in destroyed success.
After being a disaster in the UK and almost running the now successful Raiders out of the competition, Matthew Elliott has turned his attention to runining the Penrith Panthers.
Getting the wooden spoon in his first season was a good start, but it all went pear shaped when in early 2008 the players publiucally come out and said what we all knew.
His game plan was shit, and they would no longer take any notice of it.
From that point on Penrith has played pretty well, with players doing more than one out hit ups, and younger players coming into the side.
But it will take more that a teaqm flooded with talent to end Elliotts plans.
Elliott decided to get rid of team leader Luke Priddis. Then he convinced the club to release Rhys Wesser to South Sydney....because you know, the secret to success is to offload Origin quality players.
Not content with deconstructing the teams lineup, Elliott has also been active in filling his coaching staff with mates.
Former Bradford conditioner Carl Jennings is now at Penrith, because you know, British Rugby league has always been at the cutting edge of fitness and training.
Ex Panthers and serial egotisitcal back stabber Matt Adamson is also part of the coaching staff, having gone from being a trainer to being in the coaches box.
Wayne Collins is also part of the coaching staff. He knows Elliott after a spell on Bradford's community team while Elliott was in charge at Odsal
But Elliott can go you one better than that!
Penrith has signed ex Huddersfield coach Jon Sharp. Sharp, who had been sacked as Huddersfield coach and is all the way down working as a consultant for Featherstone, will head to Penrith as an assistant coach.
So the hot bed of Rugby League, the number one Rugby League nation in the world, and Matthew Elliott has us importing coaching failures from the UK.
Its gets EVEN BETTER though!
Having just got rid of serial dickhead Craig Gower, Penrith fans are thankful to have a team with no arse wipes in it.
Matthew Elliott will see an end to that.
Its been reported that Penrith are super keen to take up Todd Carneys $400,000 a year contract, starting next season if they possibly can!
Forget the fact the Penriths junior system is turning out NRL talent on a weekly basis, or the fact that all of Penriths junior teams at every level are dominating competitions they are all part of.
Why do we need to pay so much money for a bloke that can't handle his drink, we was close to being thrown in jail a few years ago and who still doesn't understand why he is being treated so harshly!
What Elliott is doing is not coaching, its sabotage!
What can a fan do in this situation though?
Elliott is contracted through until the end of 2009, where you can expect the moronic Penrith Managment to extend his contract instead of signing a successful coach such as Daniel Anderson.
However, should Elliott be let go, his mates have their grubby claws in every level of the coaching staff now. How long will it take to remove the failures from the Panthers club once Elliott has left?
Its a shame too because Penrith is producing so many great young players. They deserve so much more.
After getting the wooden spoon in 2007 and starting 2008 terribly, Penrith had a chance to sign Wayne Bennett. We didn't even try for Bennett, we were to busy chasing Jon Sharp.

Shaun McRae Is Still Embarrassing And The Poms Still Worship Him!
I thought that after his disastrous stint with the South Sydney Rabbitoh's we had seen the last of serial gas bagger Shaun McRae.
After making a career for himself in the UK runing clubs, he came over to Australia where his constant hot air and bullshit just didn't cut it.
He eventually learned to shut his mouth in Australia, as similar failure Ian Millward has done in North Queensland, but then all McRae had to rely on was his coaching ability.....and he didn't have any of that.
After being sacked by Souths, McRae ended up coaching at the worlds arsehole, Salford.
Now that the RFL have decided to burn one of the 14 licenses on that complete failure of a suburban club in Manchester, McRae is back to his old tricks again with the announcement of yet another import heading to Super League:
“He will be a great acquisition and he will be extremely good in helping the continued development of our young players."
“He’s excited to be joining Salford and to be playing Super League."
“It’s a new challenge for him and we’re delighted to be bringing him onboard.”
Amazing, this player must be one hell of a star. A game breaker, someone that can teach the young players how to be a top class player.
Well, no.
Salford have signed Jeremy Smith. No...not the very good Melbourne Storm premiership winning forward, they have signed the South Sydney halfback who is actually playing for North Sydney in the Jim Beam Cup because he is not up to playing First Grade....for South Sydney.....
McRae to the Manchester Evening News “This signing outlines our intentions. Smith can play half-back and has a fine kicking game".
Smith not a halfback. He is a tough bloke, a decent athlete, but one of those players that doesn't have the size or power to be a forward, and lacks the speed to be a back. The other problem is he doesn't have the skill to be a halfback, five-eight or hooker.
So if these are Salfords "Intentions" then god help the small but loyal group of crack heads and ice addicts that support Manchesters poorest suburb.
I've never understood why these Australian coaches and players who head over to the UK never get put under the microscope. They say things that are beyond ridiculous, and no one in the UK questions them. They just blindly take anything they say as gospel.
The likes of Shaun McRae, Ian Millward, Stuart Raper and Tony Rae have been a disaster where every they have been. This lot have no credibility in Australia and yet in the UK when they want to speak to an expert, they talk to these idiots!
Then again this is England, where they thought Frank Endacott was a good coach despite being nothing short of a grade A failure at every single level he has coached.
Its still happening today as well, Tony Smith is the coach of England these days for all of those games we watched him stuff up his tactics and interchanges in important games.
Yeah, he did eventually win something, but it was at Leeds, one only only three clubs that have shared the Super league title in the last ten years. Anyone could win there...hell, the gibbering idiot that took over from Smith at Leeds is winning games in charge of the Rhinos!
Smiths latest cunning plan is refusing to announce Englands 40 man squad for the World Cup, despite the fact ever other country has done so.
I can just imagine the fear running through the ARL and NZRL at what amazing players Smith is going to announce. I'm sure he will trick everyone, it will be a stunning move that will show how smart he really is!
Are there even 40 English players playing in England these days?

The Stupidity Runs Strong In This One
I've tried to avoid talking too much about Sonny Bill Williams because seriously, he is a stupid kid thats been easily led by users.
There have been some interesting things I do want to mention though.
Despite having a court order stopping him from playing Rugby Union, Dollar Bill Willaims has actually played his first game, on the wing and in front of a full house of just 3,000 fans....and he got sin binned.
Williams was sent to the bin for shoulder charging....the idiot!
I have to wonder about this court order though. If Sonny Bill Williams has been told he can not play Rugby Union, and the club he is playing for helps him defy that order by selecting him, doesn't that put the club in some sort of legal trouble?
I don't know, I'm not a lawyer, just a fantastic lover.
Anyway the second interesting thing regards Willie Masons move from the Bulldogs to the Roosters at the end of the 2007 season.
Despite Sonny Bill Williams saying how he had lost faith in Mason after the move, the Bulldogs have come out to reveal that Sonny Bill was very much involved in the decision to let Mason go.
This goes beyond hypocrisy though....
With Mason gone the Bulldogs then has a lot of salary cap space to use. Salary cap space that Sonny Bill probably thought he could use to get his deal upgraded.
This of course did not end up happening, and didn't Williams spit the dummy when he realized it!
So he pushed one of his mates out of the club, publicly stabbing him in the back, but all the while he just wants the money thats been freed up by Mason leaving.
It paints an interesting picture of Williams mindset.

Why Isn't The Players Association All Over Contract Disputes?
The National Rugby League Players Association is a very flimsy organization at best.
Put together by Tony Butterfield, its early days were a shamble of big ideas, stupid, unrealistic threats and a massive amount of apathy from NRL players thats couldn't have cared less about it.
As the years have gone on, and prompted by the likes of Willie Mason who spoke up on behalf of players, the Players Association has become more credible.
The Players Association helped negotiate a Collective Bargaining Agreement with the NRL a few years ago that put in place certain conditions that had to be met in regards to players salaries and welfare.
Things like a minimum wage for instance are covered in the CBA, and the signing off of it was seen as a key moment for the game.
Now the Players Association needs to step in and sort out a problem, player contracts.
We all know the blow up that has occurred recently when one foolish players walked out on a 5 year deal to sign a 1 year deal playing French Rugby Union, however this is not what needs sorted.
What the Players Association needs to put an end to is players who are under contract with clubs being told to look for a start elsewhere because they are no longer wanted.
The latest example of this is Penrith's Rhys Wesser.
Wesser has still got a year to run on his current contract, but was told to look elsewhere by Penrith. The reason they did this was because they have some good young players who are good fullbacks at the club, but most importantly, they come at a much cheaper price than Wesser.
When a player commits to playing for a club, the club should be forced to commit to the entire length of that deal. Thats what we expect of players and thats what we should expect of clubs.
Wesser thankfully picked up a deal with South Sydney, but still, this stupid system needs to be fixed and only the Players Association can make anything happen.
Another issue the Players Association needs to fix is the act of teams putting a clause in a players contract that says if that player plays X amount of games, he will either get a pay rise, or an automatic contract extension.
Some players have whinged about these clauses on contracts they have signed off on. If a team wants to get rid of a player and know he needs to play 2 more games to enact a contract extension for another season, they will drop him from first grade and be rid of him.
Thats business...and personally, I have no problem with it.
The thing is, these clauses are used for two types of players.
First of all, junior players, who might get a major pay rise and contract extension if they break into first grade. In this case, I think these deals are fair enough.
The second group are players that clubs KNOW are on the edge of not being able to complete the targeted number of games. They put these contracts in front of players, and naturally the players back themselves to play the number of games needed to make a one years deal an extended two year deal.
My solution would be that these type of clauses should not be allowed in the contract of a player thats played first grade football already.
Last but not least, something has to be done to stop veteran players from being discarded. As a player gets over 30, few clubs will even consider signing them. Some handy players are being lost to the game because of this, someone like Steve Menzies for instance is being forced out of the NRL, not because he isn't playing well, but because he is past a certain age.
The Players Association needs to try and get something in place that makes older players much more valuable to clubs. Whether that means a thats has played say 250+ first grade games become exempt from the salary cap or maybe once a player hits the age of 33 they don't count, I'm not sure.
NRL teams are younger than every before and while thats good in some ways, it also means that we're coming to a point where we'll have a generation of rookies who are learning from players who haven't played much first grade football themselves.
We need to encourage teams to hold onto veteran players thats still have something to add to a first grade lineup. A player should no hit 30 and then be pushed out the door for no other reason than he is old.

Move Over Big Willie, Here Comes The Great Daine
Rugby League just keep turning out star players and one to look out for is the West Tigers Daine Laurie.
At 6ft 6in and 112kgs, Laurie is right up there with the most physically imposing players in the game. He is just what the West Tigers pack needed, he adds a whole lot of size, but that is just part of his game.
Laurie is one of those players that has an effect on the game in attack and defense. He is very mobile for someone his size and has shown a willingness to throw himself at the opposition, usually sending a few of them flying off him as he breaks tackles.
In defense he has shown he can put on a big hit when needed. He is also very mobile defensively and is quickly becoming a player thats influence in defense isn't just confined to the immediate area around him, but a larger part of the field. His ability to get to an attacker is very good.
Laurie was born in NSW and is of Aboriginal decent, which is good news for the Blues. You have to wonder, if he keeps his current form up, will Ricky Stuart take a punt on his and call him up to the Australian squad?
Benji Marshall and Robbie Farah are lucky enough to have a lot of mobile forwards they can use in the West Tigers side, but to now have a damaging forward with size to use, they must be looking to get him more involved in their play as well.
Laurie only made his NRL debut in June, but he already looks the goods.

Matt Orford Falls Apart In A Big Game Once Again And It Cost Manly The Game
The Melbourne Storm beat the Manly Sea Eagles at Brookvale Oval last night but Manly can take heart.
If it wasn't for the terrible, shambolic play of their halfback, Matt Orford, Manly would have won the game.
Orford started his game off with a forward pass that dribbled across the ground just a couple of minutes into the match and it didn't get much better from there. Terrible last tackle options and a kicking game that put zero pressure of the Storm were just typical of what Orford has come up with in big games throughout his career.
It got to a point where Glenn Stewart, a back rower, ended up playing at five-eight to give the Sea Eagles something in attack. In fact the best attacking kick for the Sea Eagles all game came from Stewarts boot....after the regather of another terrible Orford mistake.
Its a crying shame for Manly because everything else works great.
Des Hasler is a top class coach that gets so much effort out of his players. The culture at Manly in one of the best in the competition and you can see the team works hard to improve its game through the course of the season.
The Sea Eagles tried to sign Todd Carney for next season but missed out. You would have to suggest the Sea Eagles would be telling Carney to see out 2009 somewhere easy and they will sign him to a long term deal when his NRL ban is over.
They know they can not win with Orford, everyone knows that.
As for the Storm, they only played at about 60% and they still managed a tough win away from home. Thats what a champion side is all about.

Todd Carney Sacked As Another One Bites The Dust!
The Canberra Raiders have sacked Todd Carney for being a serial dickhead and the NRL has said he will not be able to play for any other NRL team until the 2010 season.
Thank god, its about bloody time!
It seems as though the game has been on a bit of a cleansing recently, getting rid of the weak, the fragile and the stupid, and Carney is the latest to go.
I've said for a while now that the Raiders should get rid of him and pointed to Craig Gower and his career of off field stupidity as something the Raiders didn't need to emulate with Carney.
Make no mistake though, this is a gutsy move by the Raiders and one they wouldn't have taken lightly.
Of all the players that have left the NRL or been sacked in recent times, Carney is by far and away the best of the bunch. He is a very good halfback, plays week in week out and has the ability to control a game.
The Raiders gave Carney an ultimatum after his latest incident and I'm sure Carney and his management decided to call the Raiders bluff. It didn't work....and now he is just an unemployed fool with a drinking problem.
The thought is he will now look to play in England or that toilet bowl on a union competition in France.
What ever the case, its refreshing to see the game getting rid of lots of bullshit in 2008.
Sonny Bill Williams, Mark Gasnier, Jason Ryles, Todd Carney....the constant drama this lot creates will not be missed.
The best part is that the Raiders haven't missed a beat without him in the side. Terry Campese is playing the great football I always knew he had in him and the club had unearthed a decent young halfback thats standing up to the pressures of first grade really well.
At the end of the day it all comes back to the question: If you had a $400,000 contract to play footy for your local club, and the only thing you had to try had to do was not act like a complete moron during that time, do you think you could do it?
I have to say for $400,000 I'd give up drinking, Maccas....hell I'd even let Steve Folkes bad mouth my family and friends and I wouldn't bat an eyelid!
